Inspired from one of the most iconic stories in the courtesan history, it is a story of love and struggle, immersed in culture and opulence. Traditional Thumri, Ghazals and Qawalis get luxuriously orchestrated via none other than our famous Lyricist from Bollywood fraternity – Irfan Siddiqui. His passion towards penning thoughts extends in form of ultra-heightened storyline for a Musical to writing lyrics of various soulful songs for Bollywood Movies to expressing his deep emotions in form of traditional Urdu Shayari’s.
This Musical’s traditional era is backed with a combination of original compositions recreated by none other than Salim and Sulaiman Merchant – Our world renowned musician brothers who, over the last decade, have taken the musical and entertainment worlds by storm. The duo’s dynamic style incorporates cinematic, folk and Sufi influences for the play which helps the story unfold by reaching to its soul.
To create this epic saga live on stage and for the audience to witness a masterpiece never witnessed before, our renowned Indian Director and one of the finest Choreographers in the fraternity- Rajeev Goswami; left no chance to ensure a FUSION of every myriad element is created to mesmerize the audience via this Musical.
